Metallica- Hardwired...To Self Destruct
Returning from Through the Never and bringing with them that sweet, familiar, ripping sound that helped them pioneer one of the most successful, long lived metal genres, Metallica has swept the world away once again with their newest album "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct". Critically acclaimed by fans and friends alike "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" is an explosive new bombshell that has fans new and old raving.
Their last official studio album "Death Magnetic" being released 8 years ago did not dampen fans spirits as during that time they were inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, played a legendary series of shows with fellow "Big 4 of Thrash" pioneers, Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer as part of the Sonisphere Festival tour in 2010 and select other shows throughout that year, fought on to release their movie "Metallica:Through The Never" in 2013, and even made Music History as being the first band to play a show on all 7 continents on Earth. On December 8, 2013 they played their "Freeze Em All"show at Carlini Base in the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica.While in between still continuing to play shows and tour extensively.
In October of 2015 the band released their new website containing exclusive footage, and an introduction from drummer Lars Ulrich,capturing video of the band working on new material in the studio that would become "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct". In August of 2016 it was announced that "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" would be released worldwide on November 18, 2016. Proceeded by the singles; 'Hardwired', 'Moth Into Flame', and 'Atlas, Rise' the two disc album contains almost 80 minutes of jam packed metal.
