Gemini Syndrome-Memento Mori
Synners the wait is over! From the same artists who brought us surreal singles like “Stardust”, “Basement”, “Pleasure and Pain” and “Syndrome”. After 3 years, and the departures of founding guitarists Rich Juzwick(September Mourning) and Mike Salerno, Gemini Syndrome have returned to us bearing their second studio album ‘Memento Mori’, the second in a three album cycle. With new friends Daniel Sahagún and Charles Lee Salvaggio on guitars, Aaron Nordstrom, Alessandro “AP” Paveri and Brian Steele Medina have strung together another masterpiece that has fans raving and repeat buttons complaining of abuse. Produced by the same producer who’s brought us 'Lux’ and other work by artists: Disturbed, Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie and Papa Roach, studio wizard Kevin Churko.
With the releases of the singles, “Eternity” in 2015 and “Anonymous” , “Remember We Die” and “Alive Inside” in 2016, we were given a fantastic glimpse into the heart of the new album and the growth of the band as artists. The progression and experimentation with their unique sound was made apparent with “Memento Mori” being hailed by fans as “More mature” and “an improvement from Lux”. The spoken word “La Devastante Veritas” featuring Alessandro on vocals is a must hear for new and old fans.
Their first album, 'Lux’ focused on the ideas of Birth and Light, while 'Memento Mori’ deals with the ideas of Life and Living, giving us an in depth look at what it means to be alive and some of the issues faced while living. The last album will deal with the idea of Death. We have picked our Ground Shakers it was a hard task this time around as each individual track on this album can be looked at as a story all to itself. As always remember to leave a comment with your Ground Shakers. We Love hearing from you. Mayhem’s Ground Shakers 1. Remember We Die 2. Sorry Not Sorry 3. Zealot 4. Gravedigger 5. On Point
Raven’s Notes: I would like to take this little bit of space to tip my Hatebreed hat to the facebook page and group known as Synner Circle of Friends. Your constant support and encouragement both to the band and to each other is inspiring. And to fellow Og Synner Ryan Mckenna, the founder of the page I am proud to be a part of what you’ve helped create, your continuing show of support to the guys and to your synner brothers and sisters, and for keeping us all entertained and smiling until the guys could release 'Memento Mori’. Keep Rockin You Beautiful Synners.
